BushBuck Armourdillo® Family Airbeam Tent

The Airbeam TX Tent significantly expands the footprint of your Armourdillo® Rooftop Tent, providing ample space for a complete camping set-up wherever your adventures take you.

The tent has a spacious vestibule area, which can be used for a kitchen, dining, and storage space, as well as a sleeping area, which can be divided into two separate bedrooms — converting your Armourdillo® into a three-bedroom home away from home.

You can have Mum and Dad sleeping upstairs in the roof tent and the kids downstairs or a bunch of friends crashing wherever they can squeeze a mattress.

The Airbeam TX Tent connects to the Armourdillo® Annex in seconds via two clips, creating a sheltered hallway between your vehicle, the roof tent, and the ground tent. You can also integrate the Armourdillo® Wall Body to create a fully enclosed space.

A major advantage of the Airbeam TX Tent is it can function as a standalone tent, which means you can set it up at your favourite campsite and leave it there while you head away on day trips (you need to pack down your roof tent and annex to use your vehicle). This is especially handy for longer camping trips.

The Airbeam TX is supported by three high-strength airbeams, which can be inflated in minutes using the Bushbuck Armourdillo® TX High-Pressure Pump (included with the tent). It also utilises two 12mm alloy poles for self-tensioning.

We’ve used air beams in our Armourdillo® accessories range for several reasons. They’re quick and easy to set up and pack down, just as strong and sturdy as traditional alloy poles, lightweight, and a “built-in” solution, so you have fewer parts and poles to worry about.

The outer fabric of the tent is made from durable Oxford 150D fabric with a 3000mm waterproof rating (the same as the rain cover for the rooftop tent), while the inner is 68D polyester.

The vestibule area has two skylight windows and two mesh side windows to allow plenty of light and airflow, and the sleeping space has three vents for keeping cool on those summer nights. The vestibule has a removable ground sheet, while the bedroom has a built-in floor.
